Since 2007, Margaux Eskenazi has been dedicated to unveiling contemporary tragedies through powerful real-life theater. With “Si Vénus avait su” (If Venus Had Known), she continues her engaged work and immerses us in the fascinating world of aesthetics and care. After extensive research conducted in places where beauty may seem secondary, such as nursing homes, oncology centers, and emergency shelters, the director crafts a narrative that is both sublime and humorous, portraying the bodies on the margins. Primarily intended to travel across the country and reach non-traditional performance venues in order to connect with everyone, Venus will make a stop on the stage of Les Gémeaux. This unique opportunity allows audiences to experience a show rooted in reality that places the subject of dignity at the heart of its exploration.
