Les Amazones d’Afrique
The collective Les Amazones d’Afrique is a fusion of generations and talents, dedicated to the fight for the defense of women’s and young girls’ rights. The origin of this supergroup dates back to 2014 when three Malian music activists (Mamani Keïta, Oumou Sangaré, and Mariam Doumbia, member of the famous duo Amadou & Mariam) decided to join forces. The result is an engaged and powerful music that sings about feminism, hardships, and sorrows, and proudly raises the voice of modern Africa.
KOMASI (Déclencheur MJC)
In the opening act, the trio Komasi presents a successful blend of three continents, combining cumbia, Mandingue music, and psychedelic afrobeat for an exceptional evening.
